Happy New Year !!!
Wow, the last time this blog was updated was 6 months ago. Quite a long time especially in internet time. Hopefully this will change for 2015, my goal is to update the blog more often 😉
To start the new year off, we spent time with the family and had Ozoni, a Japanese soup which is eaten on New Year’s day for hope, good health and luck for the year. Ozoni contains mochi rice cakes as the main ingredient and can include chicken or other meats, vegetables (usually spinach and Napa cabbage), Kamaboko (processed seafood) and a variety of other dried foods. To compliment the Ozoni, sweet black beans and pickled vegetables. Oishii – Happy New Year all !!!
